Chiddy Bang is a Philly based duo comprised of Chiddy (emcee) and Xaphoon Jones (DJ/producer) who combine elements of indie rock and electronica with some good ole fashioned "spittin." The result has been described by some bloggers as a "hipster’s wet dream," but Chiddy Bang prefer to think of themselves as "kings of the basement party jam." This duo actually met on the campus of Drexel University where they are both currently students. Only 20 years old, and Chiddy Bang has already caught the attention of major labels and artists alike, Kanye West being the most notable. Chiddy Bang inked a deal with Parlophone Record with whom they released their EP, The Preview. Chiddy Bang is currently working on their debut album, The Swelly Life due out in 2011.
